About us

The Ramgarh, Sitapur plant was the very first sugar plant that Dalmia Bharat Group had established way back in 1994.

This plant has a cane crushing capacity of 7500 TCD and an installed co-generation capacity of 25 MW.

The unit started its first cane crushing on 28th December, 1994 to manufacture plantation white sugar, using the double sulphitation process.

Opportunistically, raw or brown sugar is produced for export to the global market.

It also has a co-generation process that takes place only during the crushing season alongside the production of white sugar. The export of electricity to UPPCL started in October 2007.

The plant produces bagasse, molasses and filter cake as by-products. Bagasse is used as fuel in the high-pressure boiler of 120 MT/Hr to produce steam and consequently electricity for in-house use and export of surplus power to the grid. The molasses is used in distilleries, while the filter cake finds use as manure in fields.

On an overall scale, the plant is following world level proven industrial tools like 5S, TPM, OSHAS, and the health and food safety norms system.

The plant continues to showcase its efficiency and productivity and leads from the front at a company level.
