About us

The Ramgarh, Sitapur plant was the very first sugar plant that Dalmia had established way back in the year 1994.

It was set up in the Village Ramgarh situated in the Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh.

This plant has a cane crushing capacity of 7500 TCD and an installed co-generation capacity of 25 MW.

The unit started its first cane crushing on 28th December, 1994 to manufacture plantation of white sugar, using the double sulphation process.

The export of electricity started in October 2007.

It also has a co-generation process that takes place only during the crushing season hand-in-hand alongside the production of white sugar.

The plant produces bagasse, final molasses and filter cake as by-products. Bagasse is burnt in a high-pressure boiler of 120 MT/Hr to produce steam and consequently electricity for in house use and export of surplus power to the grid. The final molasses are used at distilleries, while the filter cake finds use as manure on fields.

On an overall scale, the plant is following world level proven industrial tools like 5S, TPM, OSHAS, and the health and food safety norms system.

The plant continues to showcase its efficiency and productivity and leads from the front at a company level.
